How I Got From There to Here
Picture this,
and I know many of you can:
A childhood filled with turmoil, where anger was the norm and discipline meant harsh punishment. That was my reality. Raised in a home where love struggled to shine through the storm of yelling, I emerged into adulthood carrying the weight of anxiety and depression with no self-esteem to help shoulder the burden. But amidst the darkness, a flicker of hope ignited—a journey that would change not just my life, but the lives of countless families.
First Steps
Early Childhood What??
Babysitting as a young teen, I believed that a quick slap on a child's hand was acceptable. But as a nanny, I read about a better way. I discovered Early Childhood Education (ECE) and the transformative power it can have in the lives of children. In my studies, I delved into the intricate world of child development, cognitive growth, and evidence-based guidance. It was like a veil lifting, revealing a new perspective on children— one rooted in understanding and compassion. I absolutely fell in love with ECE.

Witnessing the Cycles
As I ventured into the realm of preschool and childcare, I encountered families grappling with the same struggles I once faced, both as a child and as a new caregiver. Each parent’s exhaustion mirrored in the faces of the other parents, their silent frustrations echoing through the halls of childcare centres. I saw and felt the vicious cycle of perceived misbehaviour leading to parental stress, shame and guilt, and I knew I had to do something to break it.

Driven by the deep-seated beliefs that every family deserves support, and that every child deserves the chance to thrive and be their best selves, that I embarked on this mission to empower parents. Armed with knowledge, skills and empathy, I set out to create a haven where families could find solace and support.
